After his adolescence of living in morbid obesity from a sedentary lifestyle and deplorable dietary habits, Robert has come to LOVE fitness and living a healthy, active life. With a fitness background ranging from competitive bodybuilding, adventure racing, triathlons and marathons he has come to greatly appreciate the CrossFit methodology of looking at the “10 General Physical Skills” and training to be capable at all of them rather than specialized at only a few. With over 10 years of coaching and personal training experience he is one of the newest L1 coaches at Lowry CrossFit and is eager to share what knowledge he has gained as well as learn from others on what works best for each individual based on their goals, needs and capabilities.
I used to be just another one of those gym bros who used to bash CrossFit at every possible opportunity because I was so certain I had the whole ‘fitness’ thing figured out with heavy lifting, scheduled cardio sessions and overly strict dieting. Then I went to watch my first CrossFit competition to cheer on a good friend and in minutes was humbled and made aware of just how limited my physical capabilities were after having witness what real fitness was. Within days I was looking up local CrossFit gym reviews and going to my first on-ramp, and I haven’t turned back. I feel more capable and across the domains of physical fitness and have freed up much more time in my busy schedule because of the efficiency of the training programming. Working with Christian and LCF has been one of the greatest blessings for my physical fitness and has brought a beloved fitness community to my life.
